Brazilians Recipes

Rice and Beans

2 cups of rice;

1 cup of cooked beans;

4 cups of water;

4 tbs of Olive Oil;

For garlic and salt, as much as you like.

Preparation:

In a sauce pan, place the Olive Oil, garlic and salt. Saute it until the garlic becomes soft. Add the rice and cooked beans, stir for 3-4 minutes. Add the water. Let it to boil, bring the fire to the lowest setting until it's all cooked as you like.

We'll tell you a bit more about us

It's a long story. I'll try to make is short for you.

We first met at the NYC Subway station at 77th and Lexington Ave in Manhattan. I was waiting for the #6 train when Doug walked by me and looked down the tunnel to see if the train was coming. I asked him "Is it coming?" He said "No". He looked at me up and down, he'll never admit that, but anyway, the train came and we took it. Immediately we started talking about our favorite kind of food. I'd say, from that day on we never spent a single day without talking about it in one way or another.
The reason why we wanted to blogg is to express better and share our experiences. We're constantly looking for interesting flavors and most importantly, healthy recipes.
I grew up watching my mother cooking every single day. She is 100% my master. I thank her for all I know. She'd have a task for me whenever I was around, thanks Mom. I believe that because of it, I developed this amazing ability to be comfortable in the kitchen.
